Ernie Padron is responsible for managing all aspects of active development projects. Prior to joining BFC in 2014, Ernie was a Vice President in the Real Estate Transaction Services Group at New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC). He managed numerous high profile projects throughout New York City and worked closely with City Hall and other stakeholders to create public-private partnerships. NYCEDC is the City's primary vehicle for promoting economic growth in each of the five boroughs. The Real Estate Transaction Services Group of NYCEDC is the City's primary department for financial analysis, structuring and the execution of real estate and economic development transactions.
Ernie was an associate in the Real Estate Group at Weil Gotshal and Manges, an international law firm, before joining NYCEDC in 2007. He received his Masters of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Ernie is fluent in Spanish and enjoys traveling, reading and sports. He has been a Mentor Coach with New York Needs You and served as a guide for disabled athletes completing the New York City Marathon with Achilles International.
